I use Transcriptive for this task which free aligns bepake text to speech. You have to play to get acceptable results... can chop sentences at non -rational positions!

I can see the pre-render working really fast turning the indicator green on all other areas of the timeline. On the simple parts with any Text Presets I have to wait 2 or 3 minutes. Then I can preview! If I then make a change it's another 2 or 3 minutes for it to redraw...

Yes, it is not correct name for this function... Part Trancribe might be better. It would be great if possible to import an accurate transcript and then use 'intelligent' algorithm to compare with VO and segment captions accordingly.

'Intelligent' segments are too short. Need to be able to request one or two line captions other wise it takes ages going through joining and splitting captions at the right places. Also abilty to import an accurate transcript would be great. Then the 'intelligent' algorithm just has to split the segments in the correct places by matching with the voice.

Catalina 10.15.6. Thanks Shivangi, as I said the problem is with Media Encoder not Premiere or AfterEffects. The problem is the same irrespective of the memory I assign to AME, Premiere or AfterEffects. Of course this is a mac Mini but it is the top spec i7 with 64GB. and the problem is the same when I switch to software render which would negate the lack of GPU power...

Since recent updates to Adobe Media Encoder my Mac [3.2 GHz 6-Core Intel Core i7 64GB Ram] stutters when I render anything! I thought buying the latest Mac would speed things up! The same render direct from After Effects or Premiere or a third party Encoder has no problem and I can carry on working. The renders take eaxctly the same amout of time! Why is AME taking up all the CPU? I can't even use a browser while it is rendering! Are there any controls to suppress the number of cores it utilizes? I have tried assigning RAM in different proportions to the Adobe packages. I have tried switching between hardware and software rendering. These does not solve the problem. I have this problem too. I have the latest mac mini 3.2 GHz 6-Core Intel Core i7 with 64GB ram I only have media encoder open and whilst it is rendering a simple compressed movie to 1080 I can't use Safari. Is there a setting to stop Media Encoder using 100% of CPU? or reserve cores for other apps?

To my dismay when I activated an Adobe font for a Premiere Pro project title it cancelled, STOPPED the render in Media Encoder on another project I was doing in the background! I have just lost a 5 hour render. Wow, that is a bug! I simply wanted to type in a Premiere title in the Nobel font like I had seen in Acrobat PDF. The font was not available on my system so I went to activate it in my Creative Cloud. It then crashed Media Encoder!

I have the same problem here... I have a brand new Mac Mini with i7 and 64GB RAM if I render anything on Media Encoder it uses 100% of CPU even though I set it to only use 24GB of RAM. I can't do any other work while Media Encoder is rendering. Chrome and even Safari stutter and movies won't play smoothly. It just tries to blast through the render with the fans running... and that isn't particularly fast either compared to my old Mac Mini 2012! There must be a way to restrict the CPU usage... any ideas? There are no options to constrain number of cores. should I change the render engine?

Hi Shivangi, I have just recieved an email advertisement for Adobe Creative Cloud for 'Business'. If I ask my company to pay the extra to upgrade to the Business version, will the apps work better than the apps available on the Indvidual Creative Cloud? Our company has been using Adobe Creative Suite for 25 years. It is interesting that a 'Business' version is now available. We hope these new versions will work better than the 'individual' apps you have released over the last year.

Luckily the 17.01 project did open in version 16.1.3. I saved it and then it opened in version 17.01. I then deleted the corrupt file and saved and renamed the new file. The links were restored to Premiere for playout. When I closed After Effects 17.01 and tried to reopen my new file it wouldn't open! again - missing data in file. (33::4 ) The programme was transmitted last night so I will get paid for this edit. However, I have lost many days of work this last year trying to keep After Effects and Premiere working properly. Thanks to this community for helping us out.

I have the same problem! - missing data in file. ( 33::4 ) I updated to version 17.01 because of the preview error in version 17.00 When I saved the version 17.00 project as a 17.01 file it has become corrupted. All links to Premiere fail. It won't import into a fresh 17.01 project The project did open in version 16.1.3 but I will have to re-import all the links into my premiere project to playout for broadcast. Let me know when this is fixed.

Actually, I remember this fault from earlier versions. The tracker / stabilizer doesn't work with certain types of media. When I convert .mov the stabilizer works fine. So check with different codecs. - Pete

I have the same problem here! For the second time this year, I will now spend the morning un-installing and re-installing a previous version in order to complete my work. I might try to stabilize the shots in Premiere and import later. Is it the type of media? Mac Mini Os X 10.13 Adobe AfterEffects 1997!

I always have this problem when using Morph Cut with clips which have other colour correction / effects applied or when I Morph Cut nested clips. It seems to be the Morph Cut has not completed it's analysis in time before I send it to render. Sometimes when I open a project and leave it for an hour it catches up and then when I render it is fine. Otherwise I have to manually re-apply the Morph Cut, play the time-line through and if OK then quickly hit render! Maybe Adobe could just put a check before render. Like it checks for offline media it could check for unfinished analysis. But then we would have a perfect world! - Pete

Thanks Kevin, To be honest it is much better for me to limp on with the older versions of your software. This update episode cost me a lot of money. I can’t risk any more downtime and my department suffering further loss of reputation. We were right in the middle of updating a big Character Animator project with 30,0000+ png files! I will wait until I know the updates are all fully functioning and will operate on all our basic i7 Mac mini ( late 2012 High Sierra 10.13.4) machines. Regards - Pete

It doesn't help - A lot of programmes, especially Adobe programmes export PNGs by default. Mac screen grabs are always PNGs. Old projects with thousands of PNG with transparency files can't be opened easily. I have just had to convert thousands of Character Animator files.

Hi Dan, When you ship this release I need to be completely assured it will fully function on my hardware: Mac Mini Late 2012 - 2.3 GHz Intel Core i7 running MAC OSX High Sierra 10.13.4 I also need to know if it will automatically skip the corrupt editions After Effects, Media Encoder and Premier Pro: or will it be a two stage update? Like most people affected by this bug, my loyalty to Adobe software has become questionable and there has been a substantial financial cost to our business.

I always tell the graphic designers I need Illustrator files, but they say InDesign is much better as they are designing assets for the apps and print. So all the text and layout and storyboard is originated in InDesign it never exists in Illustrator. The system works very well except for this rebuilding of the layers. The work has to be done at some point in the process.
